1. Who controls your information

Stonecut Group Ltd is the controller of personal data collected through this website. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 16773321 and our registered office is 71-75 Shelton Street, London, England, WC2H 9JQ.

If you have questions about this policy or want to exercise your data protection rights, contact us at hello@stonecut.ai.

2. The personal data we collect

We collect personal data in a few different ways.

  • Information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, company details, and the details you include when you email us or book a call.
  • Booking data submitted through our embedded Cal.com scheduler, such as your selected time, contact details, and any notes you add to the booking.
  • Technical and usage data collected automatically when you browse the site, including IP-related metadata, browser and device information, page views, referring pages, campaign parameters, clicks, and page interaction events.
  • Limited browser storage data used to avoid duplicate analytics events during a browsing session.

3. How we use personal data

We use personal data collected through the site to:

  • respond to enquiries and continue conversations you ask us to start;
  • arrange, confirm, and manage discovery calls or other meetings;
  • understand how people find and use the site;
  • improve site content, navigation, performance, and campaign effectiveness;
  • protect the site, our business, and other users from misuse or security issues; and
  • keep records needed for legal, regulatory, tax, or business administration purposes.

4. Our lawful bases

We rely on the following lawful bases under UK data protection law:

  • Legitimate interests to operate, secure, improve, and measure the performance of our website and to respond to business enquiries.
  • Steps prior to entering into a contract where you ask us about Stonecut, request a demo, or book a product walkthrough.
  • Legal obligation where we must keep records or disclose information to comply with law or regulatory requirements.
  • Consent where we rely on it for a specific activity.

5. Analytics, cookies, and similar technologies

We use PostHog analytics on this site and an embedded Cal.com booking flow. These tools may place cookies or use similar technologies to help us understand traffic sources, page usage, click patterns, and booking activity. We also use browser session storage in limited cases to prevent duplicate event logging within a session.

You can control cookies through your browser settings and device preferences. Blocking cookies may affect some site functionality, including embedded scheduling.

6. Who we share personal data with

We share personal data only where reasonably necessary, including with:

  • our website hosting, infrastructure, and security providers;
  • PostHog, which we use for website analytics;
  • Cal.com, which we use for scheduling and booking requests;
  • professional advisers, auditors, insurers, and legal representatives where needed; and
  • courts, regulators, law enforcement, or other third parties where the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal data.

7. International transfers

Some of our third-party providers may process personal data outside the UK. Where that happens, we take steps intended to ensure an appropriate level of protection, such as relying on adequacy regulations or appropriate contractual safeguards.

8. How long we keep data

We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including to manage enquiries, keep business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal or regulatory obligations. Different categories of data may be kept for different periods depending on context, sensitivity, and whether a commercial relationship follows.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to request access to your personal data, ask for correction or deletion, object to processing, request restriction, ask us to transfer data, or withdraw consent where we rely on consent.

To exercise your rights, email hello@stonecut.ai. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data handled through the website. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

11. Third-party sites

This website may contain links to third-party websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one. You should review those policies before sharing personal data with them.

12. Complaints

If you have concerns about how we handle your personal data, contact us first and we will try to resolve them. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page with the updated effective date.
